Underneath it all, I am me.

I'm Kris Sinclair, writer, publisher, professional overthinker, collector of ideas, and the person responsible for all the fictional people running around this place.

For a long time, I thought being an author meant figuring out what kind of writer I was supposed to be and staying there. Pick a genre. Build a brand. Stay in your lane.

My brain has never been particularly interested in lanes.

​

I can fall in love with a psychological thriller about memory and manipulation, turn around and disappear into an underground kingdom filled with strange creatures, wander into a gothic library with a Fae dimensional traveler, and still have room for stories about love, grief, second chances, time travel, and all the beautifully complicated things people do to one another.

​

Eventually, I stopped trying to make all of those stories sound like they came from the same author.

​

That's where my pen names came in.

​

Sadie K. Frazier, Eden Cross, Averie Blaire, and Iris Pendleton each give a different part of my imagination room to breathe. They have their own voices, their own genres, and their own worlds, but none of them are characters I'm pretending to be.

​

They're all me.

​

I'm also a co-owner of Inked Faerie Press, an editor, a compulsive creative, a coffee enthusiast, a dog person, and someone whose idea of “working on one thing at a time” has always been more of an interesting theoretical concept than an actual lifestyle.

​

I like cozy spaces, weird ideas, stories with heart, things that are a little unexpected, and following a creative rabbit hole just to see where it goes. Sometimes it becomes a book. Sometimes it becomes an entirely new pen name.

 

Apparently, both are possibilities.

There may be several names on these pages.

​

But underneath it all, I am me.

​

And every one of these stories started in the same wildly overactive imagination.
